17-20 March 2009 The 17th Dragon Furniture Fair
At the beginning of this year, all things took on a new start and the 17th Dragon Excellent Furniture Fair fully gathering with exhibitors and visitors, closed on 20 March.
This was the first event of furniture industry since the “Chinese Furniture Manufacturing Town” and “Chinese Furniture Material City” was designated as “Provincial Standardized Group Upgrade Demonstration Zone of Furniture Industry” of Guangdong province in October 2008. In this Dragon Furniture Fair, there were more than 350 exhibitors from all over the country, hereinto 70% of them from Foshan and 30% from other places. Those exhibitors from out of Foshan were not only enterprises from other parts of Guangdong province but also well-known enterprises from Fujian, Anhui, Hebei, Zhejiang and so on. The exhibition hall was divided to three exhibition areas per type of products, including family furniture area, office furniture area and furniture material area. The biggest bright spot of this exhibition was popular products matching with high-end products, which tried to meet different requirements by different lays of the market, to attract more international and domestic visitors and to upgrade the internationalization level of this fair. As affected by the financial crisis, lots of enterprises were stressed by both market and product adjustments in this year.  Based on steadying traditional markets such as European and American markets, this Dragon Furniture Fair increased advertisements in China and other countries and regions including India, Thailand, Russia, Vietnam, Middle East, Malaysia and so on, which further enlarged the popularity and influence of Dragon Furniture Fair.  The 4 days Dragon Furniture Fair beckoned more than 90 thousand visitors from over 100 countries and regions, up by 5% compared to last fair.
